In The Beginning

Royal Alexandra and Albert School

In the beginning we had a couple of allotments and not much of an idea what to do next.  We muddled along making all the usual mistakes of planting crops that would only ripen during the summer holidays, planting too much radish which only about one in ten students will eat and so on.  BUT we were happy!

Then one day came an invite to meet the Headmaster and Mr Jason.  I should have declined, run away even but I went and met Mr Jason and thought no more about it!  I should have known better.  We were about to embark on a journey that would make strong men quail.  Desperate times were ahead and to what end?  What indeed.
