Little Growers Summer RecipesBelow is a healthy and energising recipe for a fruit smoothie to try now the summer is fast approaching and local fruits will be in abundance.
Smoothies are a great way for kids to have some of their five fruit and veg a day and are quick and easy to prepare. You don’t have to follow the recipe below you can have fun trying out different combinations using what you’ve grown in the garden, enjoy!




Banana Strawberry Smoothie recipe

Each portion supplies 2 of your
recommended 5-a-day.



  • 1 Large Banana
  • 200g/7oz Strawberries
  • 240ml/8fl.oz Vanilla Yoghurt
  • 120ml/4fl.oz Milk
  • 4 large Ice Cubes, crushed

Instructions: Place all of the Ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
