Little Growers has been busy with meetings since the last newsletter. We are now working with the government scheme Growing Schools to roll out Little Growers throughout the UK and facilitate partnership working with other horticultural organisations to make a real difference to children’s involvement in horticulture and healthy eating. We are also working with the Allotment Association to create a volunteer network to support schools and enable the whole community to get involved with growing fresh produce. We have also had a meeting with Lord Davies secretaries to discuss our scheme and how Little Growers can expand in the UK. So watch this space! |
